Yohan Chatelain is a Scientific Associate at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Montréal, Canada. His research lies at the intersection of high-performance computing, numerical analysis, scientific software, and artificial intelligence. He develops methods and open-source tools to detect, quantify, and control the effects of floating-point errors in large-scale scientific workflows. His work has contributed to tools for stochastic arithmetic, numerical debugging, reduced-precision computation, and the validation of computational reproducibility. He applies these methods to complex neuroimaging and machine-learning pipelines, where numerical variability can affect derived biomarkers and scientific conclusions.
