Aaron Fischer, LLNL

Aaron Fisher is a Principal Investigator for numerous projects involving simulation and high-performance computing (HPC) in the steel industry, and a numerical software developer for Multiphysics simulation libraries and applications.  He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Science from the University of California, Davis.  At the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory he is a research staff in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

His research interests include utilizing physical simulation for industrial problems, advanced finite element discretization, and parallel algorithm development.  His current industrial work includes simulations of iron smelting and steel sheet metal rolling. Current research includes GPU friendly algorithms for finite element simulations.
