Vladimir Tomov is a computational mathematician at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. His research interests include finite element methods for multi-material ALE and radiation hydrodynamics, high-order mesh optimization, immersed mesh methods. Currently he is involved in the MFEM, ETHOS, and MARBL projects. Vladimir joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2014 after earning a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University.
