Khalid Hossain is a postdoc at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF.) His current research interests include understanding the dominant collective communication patterns used predominantly at various stages of an AI/ML workload, benchmarking and performance analysis of collectives using prominent AI frameworks likes PyTorch. Khalid has a PhD in Physics from Washington State University, where he studied the dynamics of turbulent states in ultra-cold quantum fluids. He joined the ALCF as a postdoc in 2023.
