Daniel Osei-Kuffuor is a computational scientist in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). Since joining LLNL, Daniel has contributed to several numerical algorithm and scientific code development projects to support various applications including linear scaling Density Functional Theory, subsurface flow in porous media, and algebraic multilevel solvers and preconditioners for systems of PDEs, in the context of high-performance computing (HPC).
Prior to joining LLNL, Daniel earned a Ph.D in Scientific Computing and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include linear algebra and sparse matrix computations, scalable solvers and preconditioners, numerical analysis and variable precision computing, scalable algorithms for electronic structure calculations, HPC, and performance portable scientific Software design.
