Erik Palmer is a Scientific Computing Software Engineer at the Center for Computational Science and Engineering (CCSE) in the Mathematics, Computer, and Computational Sciences Division of the Berkeley Lab. In 2019, he completed his PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the University of South Carolina. For his thesis he developed a parallel model for telechelic polymers under steady and oscillating shear flows that leveraged GPUs for efficient computation. His current work focuses on supporting development of the software framework AMReX through a variety of projects.
