Sameer Shende, Univ. of Oregon / ParaTools, Inc.

Sameer Shende serves as a Research Professor and the Director of the Performance Research Laboratory at the University of Oregon and the President and Director of ParaTools, Inc. He serves as the Technical Lead of the Extreme-scale ScienCfic SoEware Stack (E4S), ParaTools Pro for E4STM, TAU Performance System, and Program Database Toolkit (PDT) projects. His research interests include scienCfic soEware stacks, performance instrumentaCon, compiler opCmizaCons, measurement, and analysis tools for HPC. He has served as the Technical Papers Vice Chair for SC22, General Co-Chair for ICPP’21 and EuroPar’24, Track Chair for Programming Environments and System SoEware for ISC’25, and the Program Co-Chair for ICPP’25. He received his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 1991, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer and InformaCon Science from the University of Oregon in 1996 and 2001 respecCvely.
