Somdatta Goswami

Somdatta Goswami is an Assistant Professor of Research in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University. Her research is focused on the development of efficient scientific machine-learning algorithms for high-dimensional physics-based systems in the fields of computational mechanics and biomechanics to overcome the limitations of stand-alone conventional numerical methods. Prior to her current appointment, she was a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University advised by Prof. George Karniadakis and funded by the National Institutes of Health. She completed her Ph.D. from Bauhaus-University Weimar in Germany advised by Prof. Timon Rabczuk and funded by the DAAD fellowship.
