Thomas Marrinan is an Assistant Professor in Computer and Information Sciences at the University of St. Thomas. My research interests include computer-supported cooperative work, human-computer interaction, visualization, and virtual reality in conjunction with high performance computing. I focus on designing and enhancing frameworks to better enable scientific analysis of large-scale data.
Current research in my joint-appointment with Argonne National Laboratory involves distributed rendering and concurrent execution of large-scale simulations and visualizations for in-situ analysis and computational steering.
