Suren Byna, LBNL Suren Byna is a Staff Scientist in the Scientific Data Management Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL). His research interests are in scalable scientific data management. More specifically, he is interested in optimizing parallel I/O, developing systems for managing scientific data formats, and handling heterogeneity of memory and storage devices. He leads the ECP’s ExaIO project, which enhances HDF5 for exascale.
